So a few days ago I had the assessment on the phone and was told to wait 2 to 4 weeks for decision however today in my journal I got a pdf file that says I'm now in the lcwra group and need to accept new commitments the commitments say to complete all to do lists activities and report any changes am I meant to accept?
Why was the decision made in a few days I filled in form in April 12th this year my work coach said last year (November 2021) I will be getting form to fill in but I didn't receive it until March 2022 I have had fit note/s from April 2021
Pdf file also says something about backpayments but I haven't requested this manually etc so don't know what that means
I have no idea what I'm supposed to do or accept as in jpurnal
Thanks

Yes, you need to accept your claimant commiments. Decision's for UC WCA are often made within just a few days, while others wait longer. The main thing is that you were found to have LCWRA.The extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition, provided you sent a fit note within 7 days of that and continued to send them without any gaps until a decision was made on your claim. When it's paid from exactly will depend on what date you reported your health condition and what date you usually receive your money each month.Based on the limited information you've given If you started sending fit notes in April 2021 then the extra money will be from either August or September 2021.Before they pay what they owe you they need to recalculate your past statements to work out what they've already paid you against what you should have been paid. You will then receive the difference between the two. It often takes a few weeks to do this, once it's done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe and it will be paid into your bank.0

If you don't accept a claimant commitment your UC ends.robjgr1 said:.. need to accept new commitments the commitments say to complete all to do lists activities and report any changes am I meant to accept?
The key point to note is that the new commitment now makes no reference to having to look for work or carry out work related activity - currently you must have previously agreed to a commitment which included those requirements.

One more question I jhave is last year a different work coach said once I have done the assessment I will need to do the u50 form and attend face to face assessments every 6 months or less and fully take part In a work programme for 2 years. I really hope this information is incorrect0

LCWRA is an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise. They don't usually give timescales on the decision letters because LCWRA has no end date. When it's time for your review you will receive a letter on your journal telling you that they are referring you. Then shortly after you will receive the UC50 forms to fill in again.
That is not correct for those that have LCWRA. As calcotti has advised, you won't need to attend any further appointments for anything, this includes the work programme. The only commiments you have is to report all changes.robjgr1 said:fully take part In a work programme for 2 years.0 -
On my commitments it did also say - to complete all activities in to do list, so not just report any changes, is that normal?0

Of course it's normal but if there's no activities on your to do list there's nothing to complete.

Posting back here so not to start new thread. I have still not got any info on first payment or if any back pay
on the pdf file it only says Changes to your payments will show up on your statement whenthey happen. Your extra LCWRA payment will not include any backpayment for the relevant period
No time frame is on the letter for when this will be done. Thanks0 -
You only had the decision on Saturday and it often takes a few weeks to recalculate your past statements. Once this is done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe you. It will then be paid into your bank.Any money owed is paid separately to your usual monthly payment.0

Hi All,
Im wondering if I could ask a small question on this subject and if anyone else had something similar.
I was recently awarded lcwra after previously being on lcw. I had a journal message saying they owe me money due to minimum floor income being incorrect back dec 22 and jan 23.. (which was weird) anyway there was also a note saying my statements had been updated which they had reflecting lcwra from when i reported change(took them 10 months from form being sent to do assessment) ... but no additionally letter or information about back pay. How long does this letter normally take and if statement already updated when will they pay this.
Many thanks everyone
