Hi I’ve recently been awarded Lcwra on the 19/10 but I have been providing fit notes since the end of April I’m just wondering if I will get any backdate and how long it will take for my 1st payment to arrive and backdate if owed as it’s all very confusing what I’m reading online my assessment period is 30th- 29th

3 full assessment periods is the waiting time and then it’s paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. It’s not paid at all during that time.
Based on the information you gave your waiting period will be April to July. LCWRA starts from AP 30th July to 29th August and first payment will be 6th Sept.
The LCWRA element should be added to your next statement.
Any money owed is usually paid separately and can take a few weeks for them to pay it.0 -
