Talking to my eldest last night we both agreed that Rumours by Fleetwood Mac was probably the best album of all considering how many great tracks there are on it., no duds at all imo and it stills sounds great to this day.
One of my favourite tracks is https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JDG2m5hN1vo
Anybody agree or have an alternative in mind?

Ooo, as a person who grew up with ABBA and a lot of 70s/80s songs, I’d have to go with ABBA Forever Gold because it’s timeless and there’s a lot of tracks on it. Apart from ABBA, I’d go with Elton John’s Diamonds album because it has a lot of my favourites on it, and the vinyl is blue.

Actually @poppy123456 I agree about ABBA and Elton John. My favourite Elton john album is yellow brick road though.1

Mines rocketman, your song and I’m still standing, which are all on the diamonds album.2

When I saw this thread in the "list", and before opening it, the first album that came to mind was Rumours. Absolutely fantastic then, now an no doubt in the future.

Hello,
I don’t have a favourite album, but I like Fleetwood Mac (favourite song: Dreams) and Elton John. Although, I really enjoy listening to all kinds of music. Does anyone have any other albums they would recommend?Kind regards.1 -
I like ‘kiss me’ by Sixpence none the richer, the vocalists voice is very pleasant but I don’t know about their album.
One of my other favourites is The Eagles greatest hits.0 -
my favourite is Thriller by michael jackson, but i like others like elton john and abba2

Loving this thread! Thanks @leeCal for creating it and everyone else for responding to this thread.
I found this a really tricky question though! I think I like too much music to choose one album1 -

If you like the Eagles @leeCal - try their 'Long Road Out of Eden.'I think my favourite album is Sandy Denny & The Strawbs' 'All Our Own Work,' which you may also enjoy:

Next would probably be 'Concert for George' with one of my favourite tracks, 'While my Guitar Gently Weeps.''Bridge Over Troubled Water''American Pie'Harry Chapin's 'Heads & Tales,' 'Short Stories,' & 'Living Room Suite.' I used to play 'Flowers Are Red' to my son when he was little from the latter album, which he still remembers. Also Brian Wilson (of Beach Boy's fame)'s 'Pet Sounds.' Saw him in 2017 performing this & also some Beach Boy hits in Times Square, Newcastle.Last, but my no means least, tho I'm sure many will groan, Leonard Cohen's 'Live in London.' Whilst he's best known for writing 'Hallelujah,' one of my favourites is 'The Tower of Song: 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW9jCUQgX9g&list=PLiqWX7AXe4iR_zkoZwX-emZWg4dGRg6sA&index=11 I found him from reading his poetry in the 1970's. I've often thought that Cohen was quite a philosopher from watching some documentaries; he embraced his Judaism, but was also willing to look into other faiths, becoming a Buddhist monk for some years. He came out of retirement as his manager (& 'friend') had stolen his money, hence him touring again in his later years.
Very last, I promise mention, 'The Traveling Wilburys' first album; my favourite track 'Handle With Care;' hearing George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty & Roy Orbison together, well what's not to like?2 -
thanks for the suggestion about the Eagles @chiarieds, I’ve listened to a couple of tracks now and it sounds good!1

I'm not really an album person...I prefer to pick & choose singles.
That said, one album where I like every song on it is the Arctic Monkeys debut - 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'. Catchy title...and a CD design that I'll never forget, an ashtray full of dog ends!
