My son has difficulty using his hands (widespread joint pain and stiffness) for computer tasks so uses a Head mouse called a GlasOuse which has a bite switch. This is good for clicking but he can’t right click so can’t copy and paste which he needs to be able to do for work. Is there other software which could help. He has tried eye tracking software but this was less good than the glasOuse..? He has also tried lots of other types of mouse and switches but repetive use leads to joint pain. Maybe you can recommend someone who can do an assessment or some other software? many thanks.

Welcome to the community @clairegarth
Thank you for posting about this. I can't say I'm familiar with GlassOuse technology, so apologies in advance if the following is a silly question! I hope that some members with experience of this will be able to find and comment on your post soon.
Can he access keyboard shortcuts through the head mouse?
Has he been assessed by an Occupational Therapist for work? Has he accessed the equipment through Access to Work?

AbilityNet might be able to advise you. I found them extremely helpful and supportive. They even let me try the software they recommended before I bought it. Their assessments are accepted by Access to work among others. Here is the link to their website, https://abilitynet.org.uk/ abilitynet.org.uk I honestly found them a delight to work with.
