Majority of people come here to work, not to claim benefits, which lots of " people on boats" can't necessarily always claim anyway, . Asylum seekers can get a poxy £40 a week which is  not really an incentive to come to this country to live off the state. Hence why most immigrants work rubbish jobs  at way way below minimum wage. Only certain people get good benefits in this country usually other Europeans,( it can work other way round also) not exactly people on boats. Maybe they might get put up in  hotels but that applies to homeless Brits with families also not just immigrants. I spent 2 years living in a very expensive hotel because I had nowhere to go with my 2 kids at the time. It cost local authority a fortune. At the end of the day everyone is just trying to survive in the best way they can, life is bad for most people at the moment. Show compassion for your fellow human beings. Kicking people out the country or keeping them out isn't going to improve anyone's financial situations especially people on benefits, who are just as despised by the government as asylum seekers.
