edited November 2022 in Money and bills
Just looking for some information I wasn't not able to get the first cost of living payment and I never received any texts.

I received a text today from dwp saying there going to pay everyone between 8th and 23rd of November does this mean I will get the payment as I didn't receive a text before?

I have double check and it says I'm eligible for the second payment but it also says that if my universal payment is reduced due to paying landlord ( I do not) but I have lost some money from universal credits due to working and an advance payment so I may not be eligible again? Is this correct.

Genuinely just confused on how they work anything out theses days.

Many thanks

That would only make you not eligible if it reduced your UC to nil.

You will be eligible for the second Cost of Living Payment of £324 if you were entitled to a payment of Universal Credit for an assessment period that ended in the period 26 August 2022 to 25 September 2022.

You will be eligible for the second Cost of Living Payment of £324 if you were entitled to a payment (or later found to be entitled to a payment) of Universal Credit for an assessment period that ended in the period 26 August 2022 to 25 September 2022.

The payment will be made separately from your benefit.

    Universal Credit ‘nil awards’

You will not be eligible for the Cost of Living Payment if your earnings reduced your Universal Credit to £0 for the qualifying assessment period. This is sometimes called a ‘nil award’. If money has also been taken off for other reasons (such as payments of rent to your landlord or for money that you owe), you might still be eligible.

You say you've "lost" some money from UC, in the assessment period that ended in the date mention above did you have a payment? If not and some of the deductions were because of the advance payment then you maybe entitled.
