Oooooh, ahhhhh, look at that rocket! Get your scarf on and don't forget your big coat because it's time for our virtual Bonfire Night  <3

Happy bonfire night in yellow text with images of a small bonfire fireworks and toffee apple

Tomorrow is the 5th of November, a night celebrated up and down the United Kingdom, commemorating Guy Fawkes failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

Some of us will be happily trudging to our nearest park to take in the warm glow of a fire and light a sparkler, whilst others might prefer to stay inside and look out of the window, taking it all in for free!

Whatever your preference, here on the community, we're having a virtual bonfire night. So get that scarf on and your wellies and I'll get ready to light the fire.

What hot drink is everyone having? Will you be going out tomorrow? Let us know in the comments  <3

    Great idea

I'm going out tomorrow night but not to a bonfire
Going to our favourite tapas restaurant and will have couple cocktails

Bet we see fireworks on the journey

Hot drink will have a skinny latte please

One skinny latte and one hot chocolate coming up! Your nights sound perfect - tapas, cocktails, treacle toffee, gingerbread <stomach rumbles>

I'm craving a hot dog with onions so will try and seek one of those out.

Okay, who's ready for the first fireworks?

Cat with tag around it saying Bring it on and fireworks exploding in the background

@Ada Aww I'm sorry the fireworks spook your little girl. That sounds awful for her. I saw that Classic FM is doing some music for dogs today and tomorrow between 5pm to 9pm so maybe tune in and see if that helps?

@Sandy_123 Have fun if you end up going  :)

Remember, remember the 5th of November...

Here's a rather cuddly looking Guy Fawkes, with some gunpowder tea- probably not the tastiest tea out there!

Will you be getting the sparklers out tonight? And did you ever try writing your name in the air with one?

We will be trying to stop our Hamster, Dora, from having a heart attack due to the explosions from Fireworks. Last year she went mental, and this she is old, for a hamster, so we worry.

I hate bonfire night nowadays but the virtual one is pleasing thank you scope
Too loud endless non stop noise jumpy for me can’t stand plus it’s height of immoral cruelty to pets and wildlife who have died due to stress
I am bag of nerves as is
Selfish really and very outdated thing to celebrate
I think best for public ones if any safer too but not too loud

Hi everyone, I haven't really been active in the past, but I thought I'd pop in and wish everyone a safe and peaceful bonfire night. I myself am enjoying several mugs of ovaltine indoors. Maybe next year I'll be organised enough to actually do something for it, haha! Have a good one everyone ❤

I think Scope should do something about isolation, not every person’s situation is the same.   Anastasia 🧑🏻‍🦼

@Anastasia_T22 I have cp and I'm on my own, too. The startle reflex is really something isn't it. Sending over a virtual hot drink and a hug. ❤
