I have recently been successful in claiming PIP and this community has helped me so much.
My husband has health conditions and has recently deteriorated, he is in constant pain and mental health issues also.
My issue is he attends a workplace and he drives there. I know that PIP has nothing to do with work, but I have often seen the fact that someone can drive to work used “against” them, he is in agony when driving and often calls me before and when arriving at work due to anxiety. He is my carer also but we are now at the point where neither of us are able to do some tasks like cooking etc and we have family help but may need to look at paying for some help.
How do we get across that although he works part time and drives there, this task is not without issues? Is it even worth trying to apply for PIP for him?
Sorry if I have not worded my dilemma very well, he certainly has issues with mobility, personal care etc.
Thank you in advance

PIP does not ask anything about driving.
If a Decision Maker later ‘uses driving against him’ it can be challenged at that time.0 -
Thank you Calcotti, he definitely struggles with almost all of the prescribed activities, whether an assessor will agree is anyone’s guess! I may write a supporting letter stating how much I see him struggling on an hourly basis. Thank you again0

PIP is how you are at least 50% of the time over a period of 12 months. When filling out the form you should add a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time he attempted each descriptor that applies to him.Include detailed information such as where he was, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were. You should aim for at least half an A4 side of paper per descriptor that applies.

Thank you Poppy, I will try and be specific to the descriptors that he has difficulty with
