Hi, my name is Tracy123! What are the chances I'll be awarded the higher rate at tribunal?

I was wandering if anyone could give me advice and maybe some hope. Last year I lost my job so I had to claim UC and in November last year I had major surgery on my ear and head due to a desease which can cause brain abscesses luckily I didn't get any but I've been left with savere migraines on a regular basis, I then found a job and started in December however in February while at work I had a terrible accident and shattered my leg in four places and had to have major surgery to put it back together with metal plates and pins ect since this accident I have been bed bound on a hospital bed and I have to live down stairs and use a commode it has been horrendous not only physically but mentally I've really struggled to the point where I have been suicidal and I've been diagnosed with agoraphobia and I'm currently on the waiting list for councilling. I applied for pip and and eventually was awarded the standard rate for both parts and I am grateful however I believe I need the higher rate so I appealed and they rejected it so I have now took them to tribunal its been nearly 26 weeks and I haven't heard from them only to let me know my appeal has been lodged, in this time of appealing I have been admitted to hospital twice first was due to a kidney stone blockage which I've had to have surgery for to put a stent in and the second time was for four days due to constant bleeding from the back passage, I'm on all sorts of medication which includes morphine liquid and tablets, amitryptiline ect ect the list goes some days I can barely string a sentence together, I've also got diabetes type 2 and sleep apnea. I have informed and updated pip and the tribunal of these hospital visits. What I would like to know is what is the possibility they will award me the higher rate?

Kindest regards
Tracy

None of us can tell you how likely your appeal is to succeed. Be aware that the tribunal are determining whether the original DWP decision on your claim was correct at the time it was made. Changes in your condition since that time should not be taken into account.
