Hi all, Hope you are all ok.
It's my first time here,
I thought I would get intouch due to my application for PIP, I've bn suffering anxiety and panic attacks for the past 18mths progressively getting worse. I applied for pip in March 2021 and after it going to Tribunal in March 2022 I was denied. I have had PA at work and also in social settings which caused my anxiety to soar and I'm always afraid I might collapse and faint as this has happened before. I've been struggling ever since. Its come to the point now where I dont cant leave the house alone, I am currently on sick leave from work due to me panicking on leaving my home. My condition has deteriorated so much, I've become paranoid and feel like I'm been watched all the time( this started during my first application due to the questions I was asked) How long do i have to wait before i can reapply again.

There are no timescales between reapplying. However, if you reapply using the same evidence you previously used then a refusal is likely again.May i ask if your Tribunal was telephone, video or you appeared in person or you had a paper based decision?1

Hi thank you for replying:)
It was by telephone, I wasn't happy with it at all as I had lost my sister 3 days prior to the call and I had a panic attack during the call, they gave me 5mins break and the overall engagement lasted over an hour.0 -
What do you mean by evidence please?0
-
Evidence to support your claim. This can be anything from medical evidence that states exactly how your conditions affect you. Letters of support from family and/or friends that know you well. Real world detailed examples of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you, as you are the only person that knows exactly how your conditions affect you then this will be very useful. They very rarely contact anyone for any evidence so you shouldn't rely on this.0

I see, apart from having more time off work and my anxiety has developed into agoraphobia not much has changed. I didnt request evidence from work they just requested info from my GP. Would a request from work for evidence and the fact my anxiety has developed into something else make a difference?0

PIP has nothing to do with your ability to work.

I understand that, but due to my job as a driver they use that as a strike against me! So what about my MH deteriorated into agoraphobia? Is that a none factor too?0

If your employer can provide evidence then there’s no harm in sending it to support your claim but as I advised it’s not about your ability to work.
The best evidence you can send is your real world examples. You may also want to get some expert advice from an agency near you. https://advicelocal.uk/1 -
