Hi there all,hoping this sight will help me with a few things as I have brain damage and claiming low rate pip.

    Sorry I,m Paul’s misses and typing this for him,as I,m going to re apply for the higher rate as circumstances has changed for him

    He can’t reapply because he’s already claiming PIP. He can report a change of circumstances but doing this he will be sent more forms to fill in and return with all his evidence. He will then very likely need another assessment, as most people have them.
    Before doing this you need to make sure that more points can be scored for a higher award. PIP is not about a diagnosis. It’s how those conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors. A worsening of condition doesn’t automatically mean more points can be scored.

    he have had low rate pip as returned back to work 6 Weeks after coming out  a coma in hospital.He was in work for 3days was told by health and safety that I was unable to work as I was a danger to myself and workforce.Rerurned back to doctor  and works doctor monthly,after 12 months the works doctor advised me to take early retirement at the age of 48.So I,m on low rate but symptoms worse and my now partner thinks I should have high rate as under support worker,Headway a group for people with brain injury,she thinks I should have had high rate at the beginning.
