Itβs crazy how genetics work and how things get passed down the chain. I think one of the wildest things Iβve heard is that each baby to be when in the womb start building egg cells, which means each mother is not just carrying her own child but also her future grandchildren, talk about multi tasking.

Bored sat here watching the news but its a beautiful sunny day here and I am looking forward to meeting friends for a few drinks later.

I set my alarm for 2am to take another antibiotic (? pnuemonia), I was awake anyway π₯±. My oxygen is settling at 92-93% vs 84/86% just 5 hours ago.
Thank goodness for the miracle that is antibiotics and for Alexander Fleming's discovery of penicillin, and others who developed it for mass production in the 30's and 40's. I've mentally thanked him more times than I care to remember in the last 4.5 yearsπ. At least 22 times now!!! Glad I'm here and well enough to be boring ha ha π π΄.

Thanks very much Bluebell. Very disappointing; the little hospital near me rang me last night to say gp surgery (the nurse practitioner) had not sent my urgent x-ray request over so I've got to ring Mon to chase. She'd also promised to send me the details for the integrated respiratory team in case I need help at weekend but she's not done that so I can't contact them.
Luckily, it's not going below 89% now so its going the right way (is generally ok if 88-92% if you have copd, I have emphysema too). I wasn't allowed to get referred to the oxygen clinic a few months ago as I was told by GP because my oxygen was ok when sitting down, can't have ambulatory oxygen. Doesn't make sense to me but still got to check on that as it was dropping to c 85/86% when just moving around the bungalow and very breathless. I can't just sit down forever so do need to follow it up when I'm better.
I declined paramedics Thursday as they'll only take me to the hospital I've got a complaint against (not sent yet still trying to write it since Oct but it wasn't about thus at Christmas but now it is hence delay π) where I worked. I won't go their but if I get worse I'd go to a bigger hospital a bit further away by taxi and who I'm under for other health conditions.
It's safe to say I have no trust whatsoever in the hospital to the point I could be un-alived. Sounds dramatic but appalling at Xmas when had pnuemonia.
No oxygen because of where my bed was, no face masks, patient MRSA positive in next bed, over 12 hour wait for antibiotics given only one capsule not two as they'd run out, should have been on IVs don't know why I wasn't think there was no drip stands left. Not near loo which I needed 'cos of bowel problems. It sounds unbelievable. It was. At 0145 a doctor next to me had needle unsheathed ready to take blood off elderly lady in next bed. Dropped it and nudged it, and his tray all over the floor. Picked it up and carried on with same unsheathed needle. I got up and at 2am discharged myself got taxi home upset. Obs checked too once in 5 hours.
I wasn't moaning at all or complaining or pulling my face and no matter how full the ward was c 6 staff at nurses station yapping about mortgages for 40 mins delaying meds round (got to me with my singular antibiotic 0030hrs, first one since I'd arrived c 16 hours before.
Sorry for rant π€£ π€£ bet you wish you'd never asked π. Someone mentioned on another post how they couldn't understand anyone slating the NHS (not their exact word). I'm glad their experience was good but it far too often, is not. I'm grateful for the care I've received over the years but I'm not grateful and don't have to be thankful for appallingly bad care. I've worked with many really good nurses/doctors/healthcares etc etc. I've also seen really, really bad care. Needs to be called out.
You've never known me to be boring? Thank you!! That can change in an instant ha ha. Thank you too for asking after me. I can tell my meds are working just don't want to speak too soon. And I'm definitely resting too. I hope you have a lovely day. Im just glad my visions come back that went weird on me earlier π. If it wasn't for bad luck (health wise) I'd have no luck at all π€π€¨ππ€£π€£

Thank You! Yes ! thats exactly what I've found with my 8 page long letter. When I'm better I'll get it finished and sent and stop procrastinating π it can then be off my mind and on the CEOs' where perhaps it deserves to be. Have a great day π β€οΈ.
