Lots of people don't have the decision on the day of the hearing but this doesn't mean you'll be refused, it just means they couldn't make the decision during the hearing. Lots are successfully awarded when the decision isn't made on the day. You will be sent the decision letter within the next few days.

That sounds like really positive news @saram! Well done
I hope that you manage to take some time to relax today, and that you managed to get some sleep last night.

After a Tribunal win it can take anything up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer to pay what they owe you and to put your award into payment. It could be after Christmas that you receive what's owed now.

No i haven't heard anything yet apart from getting the official letter from the tribunal by post as poppy said it can take weeks so I'm not counting on it before Christmas which is a big shame0

Its when the Tribunal judge said DWP has a right to appeal it made me worry thats all. I know once they make the payment they've accepted the descision. The Judge did however say she hopes they do not appeal because she is 100% sure the panel did not make a mistake. However it is obviously still a possibility0

It's rare for DWP to appeal the decision. Before they can do this they must request the statement of reasons (SOR) within 1 month of the date of the decision. Once this is sent they have 1 month to find the error in law. They sometimes request the SOR but rarely appeal it. If they request it, it doesn't mean they are appealing it.

All that information will be in the decision letter when you receive it from DWP.
