Hi
My husband has been off work since May he is still waiting capability health interview..they received his form in in August I have rung a few times and get same message his appointment will be in the post! Also he applied for PIP in September had his interview (over the phone) on Tuesday just..
My question is will capability people get notified from PIP people about his assessment? Or will he get assessed separately...(you'd think they'd work together) and I know I've asked before but the capability goes from his first fit note (may) even though we applied in August? (I know he's got a 3 month waiting period) thank you again 😊

The WCA and PIP are different assessments and they don't usually contact each other. If he's found to have LCWRA then the waiting period starts from when he reported his health condition, provided he sent a fit note within 7 days of this and then continued to send them without any gaps until a decision is made on the WCA.It's perfectly normal to be waiting this length of time as you didn't receive the form until August. If he's awarded daily living PIP, as advised on your other thread you will be able to claim the carers element of UC if you look after him for at least 35 hours per week.0
