Moving voluntarily from ESA to UC

Hello,
Could someone tell me if you can still move to UC voluntarily from ESA being as the Managed Migration has been moved back to 2028.  If so will you also receive the 2 week run on of legacy benefits ESA and Housing Benefit or is the run on just for people who move through change of circumstance or managed Migration. This is just a hypothetical question. I know you should seek advice first to see if you'll be better off I just need to know if you still get the 2 week run on.

Thanks

You can claim UC anytime you want to. Providing you're still claiming ESA when you claim UC then you will receive the 2 week run on for both ESA and HB. It is not just for those with managed migration.

If your ESA doesn't include the Severe disability premium then LCWRA for UC pays more than ESA Support Group. However, you should still use a benefits calculator to check before claiming.
If part of your ESA is contributions based then this will continue and be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.
