Hi guys!

Thanks In advance for your replies

So I finally received a letter on my journal stating they have changed the decision from lcw to lcwra on November 10th

On the letter it states that I’m eligible for lcwra from march 6th 2022
( handed in my first sick note In Nov 2021 )

does this mean I will be backdated from march?

thank you

What date exactly did you send your first fit note and what date do you usually receive your money each month?

It does state on the letter in my journal that I’m eligible from 6th march 2022 due to the 3 month waiting period
but it doesn’t say anything regarding back pay amd I’ve heard nothing more about it

So the 6th March is when the LCWRA starts. There's a full 3 month assessment period (AP) waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month of your claim.
You sent your fit note in Oct/Nov AP which doesn't count because you sent it in the middle of the month. Therefore your waiting period is Dec to March. LCWRA starts from AP 6th March to 5th April and first payment would be 12th April.
It often takes a few weeks to pay what you're owed because they have to recalulate your past statements first. Once this is done you'll receive aletter on your journal telling you how much they owe you. It will then be paid into your bank.
