Just received my decision today 22nd November that I have been put into lwcra and I am wondering if I will get any back pay?
my assessment periods so far have been
7th July to 6th august
7th august to 6th September
7th September to 6th October
and the most recent one
7th October to 6th November
I provided my first sick note 21st July before my first ever uc payment (13th august) and since then have provided another sick note last month after the 1st was running out
I’m all a bit new to this so I’m unsure whether or not I am eligible for any back payment.

There’s a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition/sent your fit note.
Based on the information you gave your waiting period will be Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct, Oct/Nov… LCWRA starts from AP 7th Nov to 6th Dec and first payment will be 13th December. No LCWRA element is owed.
Had you reported your health condition when you claimed and sent a fit note within 7 days of that your first payment would have been November 13th.0
