Then the waiting period will be May to Aug.. LCWRA starts from assessment period Aug/Sept and first payment should be 5th Oct 2022. Assuming there were no gaps in the fit notes.
Put a message on the journal under the payment section and tell them you disagree about when the element is paid from. Tell them the date you first reported a fit note. (April)

    Good morning,

Thats great, it’s very confusing the waiting periods and waiting times but I’ve been back through my journals and yes it was produced in April (Fit note) and there have been no gaps.
I have sent a message as suggested and will wait for a reply from them. I will keep you posted

    Morning poppy,

im so sorry for what seems a whole lot of questions but they have sent that off for a mandatory decision now which will no doubt be another month 🙈
We had a phone to say my partner is now also put on ESA support group payment which I understand that to be a little higher, now I know that is mean tested but does the extra payment get backdated now too or will that already of been worked into the LCW back pay

New style ESA isn’t means tested but it will continue to be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.
The ESA will be £117.60/week from the 14th week of your claim.
There’s no financial gain to claiming NsESA and UC at the same time.

    Good morning everyone,

Firstly I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who gave me advice for my partner, after having some real issues with both UC and job centre you all provided me with so much information and confidence to ask the right questions my partner now has all the help she deserves even if ICE had to step in due to them agreeing UC treated us really unfairly and with delay. So we have that sorted THANK YOU ALL xx

So as my trust is lost with them now l wanted to ask again you all for advice before I go to UC, my 9 year old daughter has now also been diagnosed with a disability and has just been awarded DLA from the 27th February. In that letter they have told us about a child element she may be entitled, not sure if this is child tax and also a housing benefit award as she is now classed as disabled. Again lm lost and wanted to make sure l get it right first time, I’m currently taking part in weekly friends and family carers programme through the NHS but when it comes to finance l just feel so lost and guilty asking for money

It's nothing to do with Tax Credits because you're claiming UC. You will be entitled to the disabled child element of UC from the assessment period in which the DLA was awarded from.

If you're claiming high rate care DLA for her then you'll be entitled to the higher disabled child element (£486.89/month) 10% less before the April increase. If it's any other award then you'll be entitled to the lower disabled child element £146.31/month (10% less before the April increase)

Put a message onto your journal to tell them that she's been awarded DLA and what her award is.

After reading back through the thread i see you're already claiming carers element for your partner. As your UC also includes the LCWRA element for your partner then you won't be entitled to another carers element.

Unless you're living in either temporary or supported housing your rent will be included in your UC known as housing element. Housing benefit is a completely different benefit.

There maybe an extra bedroom in your entitlement if your daughter needs regular overnight care from a non resident carer.
There's also potentially an extra bedroom if your child can't share a bedroom with another child.
