Afternoon @Margare93222061 i'm so sorry i missed your thread darling.
I'm keeping well, thank you for asking, we are going to see father in law at the home tomorrow, he hasn't been to well, he now has infected ulcers on his one leg, the home has got him some anti biotics, but you know what the Dementia patients are like, he keeps messing with his wounds and making them worse.
How have you been yourself, i hope you are well and managing to keep warm. x0 -
Hi Sue,
Good to hear from you Sue I do hope your Father in law will be ok when you visit tomorrow and that the antibiotics work. There is not much I have not seen with dementia, it is hard for the families when they see. t here love ones I worked in the home for 4 years feeding the residents and helping them when they got confused. I am ok trying not to watch the Christmas adverts it can get a bit much.. take care Sue. Margaret x0 -
Morning @Margare93222061 i know exactly what you mean about the adverts, they pull on your heart strings to much sometimes, think we all feel it more at Christmas time darling, it can be a sad time.
Yes dementia is very sad, Father in law changed completely and he can get very violent now, which we know is caused by frustration, these nursing homes are a god send and the staff, we can't praise them enough, they are our angels at the moment.
I hope you are keeping well and warm x0 -
