Please could someone put this in more simple steps, I’m really confused and don’t feel as my work coach is helping much…

Please help if you can, I would really appreciate it! I have adhd and dyslexia so I find this kind of thing really difficult to wrap my head around0

Once LCWRA is awarded the extra money for having LCWRA is not paid until the first assessment period that starts three months after the date LCWRA starts from. (That may be no clearer!)
More importantly UC often get the dates wrong for this. Can you confirm what date you first reported your health condition to UC and has that been supported by Fit Notes since then.1 -
Thank you for your help! I understand a little bit better but still a bit confused by the whole process.I’ve been giving doctors notes for a while now for anxiety and depression but I got an official diagnosis of combined adhd on 29/09/2022 which I reported straight away onto my journal, my fit note runs out on mid December0
-
I’ve been told that I will get extra money on 3rd of December but does it mean the money I get then is what is backdated from 29/06/2022?0
-
I’m really sorry, I find things like this so difficult! I don’t even know what I’m saying is 100% correct0

I think I’m getting back dated and back pay mixed up, how does it affect me if it’s back dated?0

That doesn't match up to the date in the journal message which says 29/06/2022. You can look back onto your journal and it will tell you exactly what date you reported your health condition/sent your very first fit note.

That’s when I was diagnosed and reported it but I had to wait to get a doctors note and things to go through as my parents paid for a private diagnosis. I was still getting heckled to answer the phone and attend face to face appointments while I was trialling medication and dealing with my late diagnosis. I felt failed by everyone and I’m still on that journey of accepting myself.0

Do you mean my very first ever sick note or the one after I reported my adhd?0
-
I feel like it would help if someone could look through my journal but I don’t know how I could do this0

The very first fit note. Not sure what you mean by the one after you reported your ADHD. The journal screenshot you posted mentions 29/06 was that when you reported the first fit note?

What date do you usually receive your payment each month?

Normally 3rd of each month, I’ve been told I will get £619 on 3rdpoppy123456 said:What date do you usually receive your payment each month?0 -
You didn't answer my other question but as that screenshot says from 29/06 then i'll assume that's when you reported your first fit note. There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month of your claim. Based on the information your waiting period will be July to Oct. LCWRA starts from Oct/Nov assessment period and your first payment will be 3rd December. You're not owed any LCWRA element because it's not paid at all during the waiting period.0

Sorry, yes it must have been! None of this was explained to me. Even when I get paid on 3rd, £375 will be coming out of £619 due to payments I’ve had to make including my new medication I’ve been put on. I’ve put messages in my journal and none of my questions are answered, I’m so close to stopping it all together, I’ve been treated like **** by the previous work coaches and now I’m not even being listened to. Life seems to be getting worse and I’m getting more depressed with no one I can truly trust as I was undiagnosed my whole life even though every single sign was there. I have no education, I’ve lost jobs, I’ve now got a rubbish credit score, I don’t have much money for Christmas, I’m losing weight because of my medication so will need to get new clothes, I find my home life so difficult, I can barely leave the house or talk on the phone and would rather just bury my head as I feel no one understandspoppy123456 said:You didn't answer my other question but as that screenshot says from 29/06 then i'll assume that's when you reported your first fit note. There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month of your claim. They don’t usually explain anything to you. Now you’ve been found to have LCWRA you don’t need to send anymore fit notes or have to attend any further appointments.
Unfortunately, bills you have to pay are not taken into consideration when claiming any means tested benefits.
For free prescriptions if you live in England you can see the criteria here. If you don’t work then you will be entitled to them. https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/help-with-health-costs/help-with-health-costs-for-people-getting-universal-credit/You can also look at claiming PIP.
