With reviews the forms usually go to the decision maker first before sending them to the health assessment providers. If a decision can be made without it going to the assessment providers it will be. Sometimes the DM will  ring to ask a few questions before making a decision.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

The DWP can ring unannounced to ask questions if i5 will help them make a decision. If you haven’t had a new assessment DWP are possibly deciding if they can decide your renewal without requiring a further medical assessment.

(Similarly a health professional may also ring unannounced if they think a brief conversation will avoid the need for a full assessment.)

A decision within 1 week? Decisions can take anywhere from 2-12 weeks after the assessment report is returned to DWP. The length of time the assessment took doesn't mean anything other than they had no other questions to ask.
I'm not aware of them sending texts with decisions for reviews.

Yes. It’s a different Decision Maker and even if they looked at exactly the same information they could reach a different conclusion. However I think it unlikely a DM would reduce your award without having referred you for an assessment.

Was that call from an assessment provider to do an assessment or was it from someone at DWP?

They do sometimes ring if they have any questions to ask to see if a decision can be made without the need to send your file to the health assessment providers. All you can do now is wait for the decision letter.

Mine was done by a DM last week, she told me my award would remain as it was but this time due to my age it would be for 10 years, I had written confirmation of that this morning. I had however waited 7 months for anything but a single text saying they hadn't forgotten me that was about 2 months ago.
