I've been living with my sister for almost a year.
I've been unable to work due to health issues and have been assessed as having limited capability for work.
I started off paying for almost everything and doing cooking and cleaning. But it became too much.
My sister has been completely unsympathetic to my needs as I'm Autistic and my not being able to do as much due to fatigue.
Ive felt so uncomfortable I've withdrawn so much I've ended up living in my room.
The other day, she locked me out of the flat. The only reason she let me in was cos I threatened to call the police.
Shes given me a week to get my stuff and me out. Ive got 4 days left.
I have a number of problems now .
1. I'm living in a strange city where I know noone (I moved 4 hours away from where I was previously- which was very hard), it's too expensive and I want to move back home. But the councils cant seem to help me as I dont have any family or work ties there.
2. My sister has said she wont give me my belongings she put in storage until I give her a sum she's going to come up with (citizens advice say she cant do that, but she'll flip and kick me out immediately if I mention it). I'd been saving the money so I could afford rent, bond, moving costs and furniture.
3. I dont have the energy to pack and carry all my stuff down a flight of stairs to a van parked on a busy road and then drive it 4 hours to new location (also got tennis elbow). Then come back and drive my car 4 hours.
4. I've contacted a load of different places trying to get help with housing, but I cant rent privately as I'm unemployed and dont have a guarantor. Social housing takes forever, with limited properties available.
I really need a support worker, but I wouldnt get one in time to help me with this move.
I just dont know what to do.
Current plan I think is to move stuff into storage here and live in my car...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Autism_at_40 I'm so sorry your going through this, it's a bit harsh from your sister. Did the cba tell you that you may get help with deposit for a home
https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/housing/renting-privately/private-renting/get-help-with-renting-costs/#:~:text=Help paying your tenancy deposit&text=Your local council might be,ll pay back over time.
Have you gone to the local council about temporally accommodation? Until you can get sorted.
I wouldn't like to think of you living in your car
-
Hi @Sandy_123
Thanks for your reply.
The cab didnt tell me that no.
I have been to the council yes, but at the time they couldn't help me.
I've been to the council in the area I want to live but they cant help me either.
I've been told to go to the council where I used to live, but I'm unsure whether or not to do that as I left that place because my landlord was fiddling the council tax. If I go back it could open that can of worms and I'm not sure I want to do that.
Living in my car is my only option right now... -

Living in a car in these cold conditions is not ideal and not safe. -
@Sandy_123,
Thanks. I dont actually live in England, I'm in Wales, although I wanted to go back to England.
I've been to the council already. And I've been on the shelter website but none of the links work..
It is cold yes, it will be a challenge, but I'm not sure I have any other options. -
Ok my bad I should of checked here's another link below the council have to act if your homeless or being homeless in 8 weeks time
https://thewallich.com/help-advice/#:~:text=Shelter Cymru are a Wales,or at risk of homelessness.
Might be worth ringing them again -
Thanks, it's on my list of things to do Monday.
I know all of this has been very stressful and overwhelming, but I'm actually looking forward to being out of here.. -
I'm not sirprised, I know its over whelming but try hard Monday to do your list
-
Bless you @Autism_at_40 doesn't sound good with your sister at the moment.
I'm so glad Sandy has been able to help you out with advise, good luck with your list tomorrow darling, start getting your mind set and positive thinking head on today. -

@L_Volunteer
Thanks for your message.
I think overcoming the brick wall would be me getting help.
I am struggling to pack, I dont know how I'm going to have the energy to carry everything downstairs and across the busy road to my car.. I dont have anywhere to live, so that's difficult. I'm not good at making decisions..
I just feel like sleeping all day..
