Hello all,
I applied for PIP in August and had a 4 hour telephone assessment on 2nd November. Then they called with further questions. I completed another 2 hour phone assessment on the 16th November. Admittedly, I have more than one psychiatric illness, but I thought it was maybe a little excessive?
I found it extremely stressful and towards the end of the 4 hour call I could hardly speak. The nurse was lovely, but I don't know if others have had such extensive telephone assessments?

Welcome to the community @duffys006
How are you doing this afternoon?
That does sound quite long, but I'm aware that the length of assessments does vary quite a bit. Do you feel as though you were able to get everything across to them that you wanted to?
I'm also aware that assessments can be quite emotionally draining. How are you feeling?0
