Working less than 16 hours?

I’m due to have an induction tomorrow for a job at boots, cleaning… I will be working an hour and 15 minutes everyday from Monday to Friday..  my understanding is you can earn up to 152£ a week.. I’ll be on minimum wage or there about..
are there any forms to fill out or do I just ring dwp and inform them of hours and work-

my jobs payroll has my national insurance number so I suppose everything will be updated from their side- I’m paid weekly with a week in hand…

regards

Thanks , a public body does ‘boots’ count as a public body although the job is going through an agency??

Public body? There's no rules on where you can or can't work, providing you work less than 16 hours per week and earn no more than £152/week after deductions.
You do need to be aware that if the work you do contradicts the reasons why you're claiming ESA then it could go against you when you're next reassessed.

I’m on it for schizophrenia so won’t contradict- it will only be 5 hours and 45 minutes a week..

just on the form you have to send esa it says about public body ect mentoring you through the job???

If any work I’d accepted should be ok if you can confirm this?? Have you had experience?

If no one is monitoring you (more for supported permitted work) then you answer no. I can't tell you if any work you do would contradict the reasons why you're claiming ESA because i have no idea about how your conditions affect you.
I've never done permitted work myself.

That’s a question that is asked because some people may be in that position. It’s not a requirement and rarely applies. You can completely ignore the Supported Work section on page 5 (see the description on the front page).

Ohh okay, I probably can take breaks if the voices get to much, I may get off hallucinations now and then but I’ve learned to understand it’s schizophrenia… so copping well with it.. I’ll find out tomorrow who’s going to be giving me an induction.. I’ve half way filled it out.. I got confused about the permitted work and the form.. but if any job as long as less than 16 hours & 152£ - I should be okay.. I have the Depo injection so I can’t give it to my self so I think I should still qualify in the review…

Okay I’ll do that then and see if it works- have you done work and claimed benefits using method you instructed?

    No.
Oh, but you know people that have? Been successful using method?

It’s not a matter of being successful using this method. The law says that you are allowed to do permitted work but you are required to inform DWP. The form is the way of informing them.

The section about supported work goes back to a time when there were different rules for supported work and ‘ordinary’ work (the latter was time limited). Supported work now seems irrelevant.

The only potential issue is if the work contradicts the reason you have been found to qualify for ESA.
