Do DWP text if PIP decision unsuccessful?

Good morning,  I'm still stressing about my application.   I received a text last Friday 2nd December to say 'we have not yet made a decision' and I've heard nothing more where some people seem to hear a few days after this.  Does anyone have experience of being declined and either not getting a decision text or being declined and still got a decision text.  I'm feeling so ill because of this process with worrying.  Thank you

I've not heard of them sending a text message with a refusal. Some people have decisions quite quickly after the text "we've not made a decision yet" but some wait weeks after.

After assessment a decision should be made within 2-12 weeks, I’m not aware of refusal text messages being sent- it’s still a new system.

Thank you so much I just hope I'm stressing for nothing.  I was just going by what I'd read on here and most seemed to be just a few days.

Thank you for replying.  I'm really struggling waiting to hear.  I am frightened to ring and check as I don't want to jeopardise anything

Is there anything, in particular, that might help the waiting to feel more manageable for you at the moment @Granny03? I can hear that it might be anxiety-provoking.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do to support you. We are all here for you and listening to you  :)

Thank you for your kindness.  It is the uncertainty of being accepted and stressing of the future.  Nothing really will help until decision is received.   I'm using lavender and a friend checking in with me regularly.

Just to let everyone know dwp made my decision yesterday and granted me enhanced on both.  However I only found out when I telephoned to chase this morning to see how long decisions were taking. I have not received a text this morning either to notify.  It is 4 and a half weeks since my assessment.  The lady was lovely and said although normally texts are sent for some reason I hadn't been sent the decision text.

Hope this helps others answers questions as I know how anxious I have been.

Thank you for the update @granny03 :) That sounds promising! Fingers crossed you'll get confirmation of your award soon, though I'm not sure if this'll be affected by Christmas, and the Royal Mail strikes.

The lady told me all the figures over the phone which has made 2023 look brighter. Letter was posted yesterday but with Christmas and strikes I know it will take a while. Thank you

I am really pleased to hear 2023 looks brighter @Granny03. Hopefully, you will receive the letter soon but I recognise it might take a while, particularly with Christmas and the strikes.
