My PIP award was for February 2020 till February 2023. Few months ago I received an extension for 9 month - till November 2023 (letter from DWP).
Today received "Award review - how your disability affect you". If not complete this form by end of December my PIP payment will be stop from February 2023.
My extension till November 2023 mystery disappeared.
Anyone has similar situation?

Usually if you don't return the form by the date in the letter then your PIP stops at that point. You can ring to ask for extra time to return the form and they will give you an extra couple of weeks. If it's received on time then your PIP will continue until a decision is made on the review.

You need to return the form in time. It may be many months before you actually have a reassessment.1 -
Today sent out letter to DWP and asked why they requested complete my PIP award review for over 40 weeks before my PIP award ends. On their PIP award letter clearly stated that DWP asks to complete this form around 14 weeks before PIP award end (current average waiting time - 18 weeks). Also asked extra time to obtain my medical records in case if they still want me to complete review form now (not in July/August 2023).0

You can't just ignore a PIP form.Your PIP was extended to Nov 2023 which was for their purpose because of the backlogs. The 18 weeks timescale you quoted is extremely optimistic because we have some still waiting a year after they returned their form.0

I'm not ignoring, but don't allow DWP to abuse me.
They clearly stated - 14 weeks therm to complete review form before PIP ends. Not +40 weeks.
Backlog - not my problem. There DWP disorganisation.
Also I requested ADEQUATE time frame for form completion and obtain my medical records. This take around 30 calendar days + Royal Mail industrial action + Bank holidays during December.
Initial 30 day period just joke, because letter was dated 21 November, arrived on 7 December and they want to get answer till 21 December.
I believe there no backlog in my area. CAPITA assessment will be organised within couple of weeks after DWP receive my review form.0 -
They can actually review you at anytime anyway. May i ask if your current award was from a Tribunal or DWP? If it's from DWP then the 14 weeks doesn't apply.Looking back at previous threads i see that this award was from DWP and they usually contact you anytime from about a year before your existing award ends. The extended award was given because of the backlogs, this doesn't mean you weren't still due a review.0

My PIP was extended to August 2023 but in November I had a letter telling me I am due a review and enclosing a new form to fill in or payment would stopped them up and asked why the review was brought forward and was told it takes that long to be reviewed since then haven't heard a thing apart from a text saying they have received it.
I don't know if anyone else has come across but I feel it's quite worrying even though I know I am worse now than when I first applied.0 -

I don't know if anyone else has come across but I feel it's quite worrying even though I know I am worse now than when I first applied. As you may have read in the thread when they extended your PIP award it was because of the backlogs. Your award being extended didn't mean you weren't still due a review. Everyone has reviews at some point. We have members that are still waiting more than a year after returning their form so not hearing anything other than a text since returning your form it perfectly normal. It's only the 10th December and you said you didn't receive the form until last month. You could be waiting several months at least. Best thing to do is concentrate on something else, though i know that's not easy.1
