Decision letter

I've had my decision letter today and I scored only 6 points for daily living. I'm so disappointed. They agreed I need assistance for washing, toilet needs and preparing meals and gave me 2 points for each of those. They said I've said I need no assistance with dressing which is utterly not true. I've just reread my form which clearly states my husband has to help me with show laces, and putting on my tights and underwear and I also told this to the assessor on the phone. It also says I need no help with my medication, when I made it clear my husband prompts me every day to take it from my dosette box. I'm not angry just flabbergasted that they have said these things despite me having it in my form. I've kept a copy thank goodness. I don't know if I have the strength or heart to put in a mandatory reconsideration as I've heard I will barely have any chance of winning this, and the thought of an appeal makes me feel I'll. Just awful isn't it so disheartening.

You can get help doing it, just concentrate on the areas where you feel they have failed to take the information / evidence you provided onboard. Leave it a few days, distress yourself, Fill in the form, do it in small chunks. You can do this and get the correct result.

Hi Mumpsy
I’ve had exactly the same problem for 5 yrs with them, I am going to appeal as due to them and esa I have a large amount of debt because I was very ill so couldn’t work, my story is very long so I won’t bore you, make an appeal with as much documentation from gp and hospital, my last application just before I died and luckily saved that they accepted I was ill enough!!!!Whatever the outcome I will still go to press.
good luck and I think I have found a company that helps with government benefits claims once I speak to them I will send you the link1 -
Correct link, the form is CRMR1, it's a well laid out form for once.
