A little while ago, I was a little bored and saw an advert for a Flying Scolarship for Disabled people, and forgot about it.
This afternoon, I was looking through the dross in my inbox and spotted an email from them saying I had been successful. You could have knocked me down with a feather!

Massive congrats @Siwheels73, that sounds like a fantastic opportunity.

And good on the company as well for doing that. From looking into it myself I know flying isn't cheap. 10 years ago it was around £150 an hour to keep a small plane in the air and that's excluding the cost of an instructor and of course any adaptations needed. I am sure that's gone up with inflation.

I hope you get on well with it and also hope you keep us updated as to how you are doing. Maybe some pics or camera footage :)

I love flying and the idea of flying a plane and in a parallel world where I don't have "issues" I think I would be a RAF pilot.
