Only about 27% of MR decisions change so it's likely you'll need to take it to Tribunal based on the stats. We have had some members who've had the decision changed at this stage.MR decision timescales are anything up to about 12 weeks.1

Good luck with hearing back next week! Is there anything, in particular, that might help things to feel more manageable for you whilst you are waiting?

And hello from me @lauren96! It's lovely to have you join us on the community. I'm glad you've been able to read stories from others in the same situation. How are you doing?
The wait for a decision on benefits can be very anxiety provoking but take it one day at a time and try to distract yourself. It sounds like there were inaccuracies in the assessors report however by submitting an MR, a new decision maker will take a look.
If it's the case your MR is unsuccessful, try not to get disheartened. We will happily support you through the tribunal stage, if you decide that is something you'd like to pursue.
We're all rooting for you! Let us know how you get on and feel free to explore other parts of our community
PS - I've amended the title of your thread and moved it to our PIP, DLA and AA category to help others spot it more easily.2 -
Awww those comments are lovely ladies it’s so disheartening I think the whole process is so horrible I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed hoping I don’t have to go to tribunal when my sister called to appeal it was like doing the assessment all over again the man asked the same questions over again which is strange I read they only go on the first assessment ? Xx0

What advice would you like? The may contact your GP for more information but it's rare they do this. There's nothing more you can do until a decision has been made.

They asked if i wanted to send anymore evidence and she said I have all doctors records if you want those they said they already have them so must of contacted doctors also asked if I claimed any other benefits which I thought was strange0

Good luck Lauren, when I first applied for DLA about 13 years ago I was turned down and got nothing, I was so upset. A year later work colleagues asked if I was going to re-apply, I said no, but they convinced me to try again, this time I got help filling in the forms, the lady who helped me put the same things down that I said before, only she put the information down in a slightly different way. This time I had to go for an assessment (nerve wrecking or what). Then I had a 6 week wait till I heard back from them to find out I had been awarded the highest rate for both parts for life. That really made me happy that I had reapplied, however 3 years ago I had to reapply for PIP and as I was two months off of receiving my pension, I thought they did this deliberately to refuse me PIP. This time I filled in the forms myself had an assessment which they said would last for at least an hour or a bit longer, my assessment only took 15 minutes, so I thought that's that, I'm not going to be awarded PIP, but to my surprise, a week later I was sent a letter with my award for the enhanced rate for Mobilty and Care the award is ongoing as well. So good luck, from what you have told us, you may be lucky this time

Hey update my sister called today to see if there were any news they’ve stayed to there decision to refuse me pip I’m absolutely gutted I’ve now got to go to tribunal any advise please x0

That's not surprising as most MR decisions remain the same. You can request the Tribunal here. https://www.gov.uk/appeal-benefit-decision/submit-appeal all you need to do for now is give a brief reason of why you disagree with the decision, anything else can be sent at a later date. The only downside is it could take several months. Telephone, video or appearing in person will be your best chance of a decision in your favour.
