The role of a taxi driver for PIP

So I’m trying to think how I’m going to do my review and currently my partner is my source of transport anywhere. I won’t even walk to the shop on my own because of my risk of seizures and suicidal thoughts.
But let’s say I didn’t have the help from my partner. My only help would be a taxi and that person would be accompanying me for PIP purposes? Yes or no.
The last time I got a taxi I asked my Mum to come in the taxi with me. But there might be occasions in the future I might have to do things on my own. So maybe it’s best to tell them that but it would be 100% necessary for me to have a taxi. I can’t face public transport with lots of people.

woodbine said:As far as mobility PIP and epilepsy is concerned the fact that the risk and reallity of seizures should on it's own get you the enhanced rate, I had my review 2 weeks ago and I have epilepsy and I got enhanced on that basis.
Mine are NEAD, non epileptic. Dissociative. I’m actually under the NEAD team and they said I could have a complete recovery in the future. But that’s not a guarantee and I’m not sure I should be thinking like that in PIP terms. Can you give me any guidance, @woodbine0 -
Getting taxi would not class as being accompanied unless someone took the journey with you
However you don't need to tell them you get a taxi on the odd occasion. As mentioned to you lots of times its the majority of the time they are interested in
When is your review due is it close. If not I wouldn't even be thinking about it as things could change by then
I know it is part of you'd condition why you are so unsure and keep questioning your benefits but please try and put it all out of your mind1 -
@janer1967My review is in March. I’m due to collect evidence for it though like my referrals etc. be helpful if my GP could help tbh0

Good luck with your review @bluefox. How are you feeling about it at the moment?
It sounds positive that you are due to collect evidence for it though like your referrals etc. Hopefully, your GP will start providing you with more support.
In the meantime, please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything else to support you. We are all here for you and listening to you.
You don't have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don't want to. Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soon0
