Hi all hope someone can help us. We are just about to change our car and we don't know how to change the tax over to disabled on the new car.

Are you receiving either Enhanced mobility PIP or DLA high rate mobility? If so then you'll need to ring either of those departments for which benefit you're claiming and ask them to send you your certificate of entitlement. Once you receive this you'll need to take all your documents to your local post office and they will sort that out for you.As we are very close to Christmas and with the Royal Mail strikes it's likely you won't receive that until after Christmas. Details here. https://www.disabledmotoring.org/motoring/road-tax-exemption

Hi @andersongb. Welcome to Scope's forum. It is great to see you have joined us. How are you at the moment?
Thanks for finding the courage to reach out to us. I appreciate the courage it can take to reach out, especially when you are new and finding things difficult.
I can see @poppy123456 has already responded to you. Do you feel Poppy's response has provided you with the support you were looking for?
Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support you further. We are all here for you and listening to you.
You don't have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don't want to. Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soon0
