I'm trying to keep warm as I know that everyone else is struggling they say that you have to keep your heating on at 21deg and less and I fall all over I contacted my electric company and said that they have taken £1400 in 7 months and they take £199.00 a month direct debit payment they said that there is nothing they can do and want to put payments up to £209.00 a month I carnt get any help paying direct debit as they said that most charities and food Banks only help those on payment meters
My house has black mould which is not helping my lungs I have reported this to the landlord as I rent private and they can not do anything about until spring

Oh I'm sorry to hear this have you got any support through helplines or anything? Are you receiving benefits? I would imagine that they would have to do something as it's impacting on your lungs and it's a health risk. Have you tried calling Scopes helpline.

Hello @Sketty thanks for reaching out, I'm so sorry the hear about what's been happening with your electric company. You can contact Scope's Disability Energy Support service for help with bills.

It's rather worrying to hear about the black mould in your home, Shelter have some guidance on what to do if you find mould or damp in rented homes which I hope is useful.

I'm also sorry to hear that you fall over, is this only once, or is it happening regularly? Is it something you've spoken to your GP about at all?

Let us know if there's anything else we can help with in the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out for help.
