If you have any problems with eyesight or have epilepsy then you won't be able to drive. Remember if you have had any exam arrangements eg scribe or a reader then let your driving instructor know as it will help you with the theory test that you have to take to pass your test. My suggestion is that you get the app as it's a good revision tool.

You need to inform dvla they will then infirm you of next steps may involve a medical by one of their approved gp
You are only eligible for motability scheme if you get the enhanced rate of pip mobility which I don't think you are entitled to with your immigration status1 -

I dont have any eyesight problems or epilepsy, i have already passed my theory test… all i want is to be able to learn to drive by abiding the laws and making sure i follow all the processes so i wont have any issues. I don t know how to get an appointment to the assesment centers as they required a Gp recomandation, i called the Gp is realky hard to get to see a doctor , they were asking about my problem by phone wich they put it on a letter, that was all but apparently that is not enough… thank you for your help!durhamjaide2001 said:If you have any problems with eyesight or have epilepsy then you won't be able to drive. As above contact dvla they will send out a medical questionnaire to complete and also contact your gp with a questionnaire
They will then decide if you need an assessment and will arrange this you don't need to get one yourself
If you look on the Internet about declaring a medical condition to dvla it will all be explained
When you go to buy a car they have disability specialist who will recommend type of car and adaptions1 -
durhamjaide2001 said:If you have epilepsy then you won't be able to drive. That's not quite correct. Having epilepsy doesn't automatically mean you're unable to drive or you lose your license. Lots of people have eplilepsy but it's well controlled so they still have their driving license. It's the seizures that prevent having the license.I lost my driving license due to seizures for 9 years but was siezure free for a year so managed to get that back. Been seizure free for more than 10 years now.
If you already have a license and your health condition needs to be reported did you do this when you applied for the license?AlleDeea1 said:I have applied for a provisional driving licence , passed my teory test and i ve been looking for an instructor, i have recently learned that i have to inform DVLA about my problemIf you need an adapted car to learn to drive then you need to look for a specialist driving instructor and these can be very difficult to find. If you do find one in your area please be aware that they may charge more than any other driving instructors purely because of the adaptions to their vehicles. If you have your own car then you can use your own to learn to drive with an instructor.0
