Hello
I had a surgery on my knee ending of October and have sent in sick notes as assessment was done by uc and the conclusion was that nothing is wrong with me and I can still be able to work bare in mind I'm a Care assistant that does alot of manual handling I was also told not to send in anymore sick note..
My knee isn't healed as I'm still feeling pains and cramps
How do I address this situation
Thanks

The work capability assessment doesn't just take into consideration the work you currently do. It looks at any work you maybe able to do because it's about the work you can do and not the work you can't do.You can challenge that decision by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) You should state which group you think you should have been placed into and your reasons why.You can see the descriptors for both LCW and LCWRA in the following links.

Welcome to the community @simbreezy40
It's great to have you on board!
I'm sorry to hear that the work capability assessment decision didn't seem to go your way. As poppy123456 has explained, you can challenge this decision. If you have any questions about this process after reading the links she provided, just let us know!
Are you receiving support from your doctor to help with your knee recovery?0
