Hi, my name is xglitzyritzyx! Call from PIP this morning. Should I keep checking my bank?

So this morning I had a phone call from PIP. I couldn't answer it and no messages were left. I called them back to see what they called me for. Apparently they were calling to ask if I can receive a large sum into my bank! The lady on the phone was lovely! She couldn't give me much information as my letter has not been sent out yet, but she said she thinks I may have been awarded. I literally cried on the phone to her! Should I keep checking my bank?

Sometimes they will ask you this question if you've recently been awarded a benefit and they owe you some money. The advisor you spoke to wouldn't have been able to tell you the decision because it can take up to 24 hours for them to be able to see it on the computer. You can ring back again tomorrow and they'll tell you.If there is an award then any money owed will be in your bank between 3-5 working days after payment was made.1

Update. I had another call this afternoon from PIP confirming I've been awarded. I'm so so happy! They wanted to check if I'm ok having a large sum into my bank or if I wanted it in installments.1
