Disheartened from PIP assessment

Has anyone received their assessment report and it be scored by the assessor as not qualifying to then be awarded?
Received my report today and it has really upset me, I feel like it’s just one big assumption on how I cope day to day.
I tried to be very honest with the lady and it seems she has basically said because I still work (despite having to reduce my hours) and the fact I have 3 children that I get by.
I have felt nothing but disheartened and a fool for even hoping they would give me some support.

A classic example of why it’s not the best idea to request the report, the Decision Maker usually does go with the recommendation but very occasionally will not. The next step after you receive your decision letter is to request an MR (we really are speculating here). I also suggest if it comes to it, you don’t bother using your AP for this.

Welcome to the community @AbbieP123 :) Thank you for joining us!

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling quite disheartened after reading the assessor's report. This is unfortunately reasonably common. As bg844 has explained, the decision maker will often go with the report, but not always.

If you don't get the award you feel you're entitled to, there are opportunities to challenge the decision. So all hope isn't lost.

How are you feeling today, now that you've had a little bit of time to process it?
