    I'm having to leave work early ill health

    If I'm medically retired will it stop me to get help with benefits I'm 63

    If you're taking a pension sometimes that can affect income-related benefits, but you may still be eligible for New-style ESA or Universal Credit depending on your circumstances.

    As you are under state pension age, you may also be able to apply for PIP if you feel you'd be eligible, and that's not means tested at all.

    Only if your ill health pension and/or lump sum are over a certain level
