Which party do you think are best for disabled people?
If they were in power? Independents or Green Party?
I've not looked on their websites yet, so I don't know myself.

The Green Party promised to look after disabled people if they ever got to power.
I'd still be sceptical because governments have previous of going back on their word.

@Ross1975 I had this same question too. But after everything the disabled community has faced and are yet to face since July 2024 at the hands of the Labour Party, I’ve lost trust in all political parties for the exact skeptical reason that @Ironside1990 points out.

Simple answer from me is NONE! I dont trust any of them, it seems once they get into power their whole policy flips flops and they then become part of the same status quo but with slight differences! They can all bang on about they wouldn't do this or that but once that power comes and they realise things are not what they seem they soon change tune and follow suit!
I do think there are odd decent MPs who do actually care in a moral way and would change things if they could but even then when push comes to shove those types of people are generally forced out the door for again not going along with what ever plan tptb wants put in place.
I've always said that there should be a law that every election every party should mention all their policies and then which ever party wins those polices have to be enacted as "Thats what the people voted for" Sadly however time after time the same old rubbish LIES gets spouted and then when in power they do a 180! Oh and time after time we the idiots fall for it and vote again!

what happened to the people’s vote , it shouldn’t be down to what the government want , if one member of government decides they want to cancel disability payments , they all jump on the bandwagon wagon , it’s not there choice it’s ours what we want , why does our voice not matter

Given those two options, the Green Party lean more towards helping the disabled.
But as with others above, I no longer trust any of them. I've been genuinely shocked by how many people thought a Labour gov't were going to help disabled people. When you look at our society objectively (not through the eyes of a disabled person) it quickly becomes apparent that the country needs to make a lot more money to get out of debt, and people out of work aren't contributing to that. So realistically no party will choose to give away more money in the current situation, regardless of what they may say during an election campaign.

I don’t have any affiliation with a particular political party, but I think the main issue is the pledge the Labour government made not to increase taxes or VAT for the working person for the term of their office. In doing so, they cut off one of their main sources of revenue for the Treasury.
Had that promise not been made, they might have had more room to manoeuvre with the budget. Of course, there would still be constraints, but that extra flexibility could have allowed for fewer cuts to benefits for those who are less fortunate or unable to work.
I receive PIP along with my salary, but I believe we should be willing to pay a bit more in taxes if it means providing better support for our most vulnerable. I think the lack of foresight has caused a lot of unnecessary headaches for the government, all for a rash promise made in an attempt to win an election.

Because we can't have government by way of regular referenda on this issue or others. Moreover, I doubt a "people's vote" would work in our favour. The "people" had a referendum for Brexit. The semi-literate readers of red-top tabloids and other right-wing media won the day.

I voted Lib dems but hoped Labour would win, but with a small majority.
Then the Lib dems could have formed a coalition government with Labour and stopped them from doing what they're doing now.
The big problem with Labour now is their massive majority.

I believe that people can vote for or against laws without intermediaries such as "MP". The technologies for this have long been ready.
