Is it too late to try to appeal after 6 months?

Hi I've just went from DLA high on care and mob to standard on pip for both they took my car off me that was march is it to late to try for tribunal would love some advice please

    Hi Jeans and welcome
    You can make a late request for an MR if you can show good reason why it is late. You need to go through MR to be able to appeal to the tribunal.
    How long is your current award ?
    Failing that as you have an award in payment, which you do, you will have to show that your condition has worstened to enter a change of circumstance,

    Thanks cr what chances to you think I have or shall I go straight for tribunal I have copd emphesemia osterartrities rehutuitism artrities list mile long worked all me life in schools

    You cannot go straight to tribunal.
    You need a copy of the MR decision to apply to the tribunal.
    If you can show good reason for late application such as being so unwell etc then it is worth making the application. Only about 12 % are successful at MR but you MUST complete this stage before you go to tribunal.

    Hi @jeans107 welcome to the community.

    @CockneyRebel is right that you have to go through mandatory reconsideration before you can progress any appeals.

    You need a very good reason why you havent appealed within the month, as it has been 6 months since you found this out, you will probably really struggle to appeal this now.

    Is there a reason why you didnt try and appeal earlier?
