Hi, I'm Engraced and mom to an 8yr old daughter with quadriplegic dystonic cp. I'm moving over to the UK soon and am swamped with questions on how to cope and schooling for her. Advice, suggestions and an understanding ear will be deeply appreciated.

Hi @Engraced
Thanks for getting in touch. You will be able to find a lot of support in the parents and carer section of the forum.
For information on schooling, it will depend which part of the UK you are moving to. You can find your local Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service service by searching 'SENDIASS' and the county/city. They will be able to advise you on all areas of schooling.
If you think your child will need support above and beyond what can be offered by a mainstream school, you can contact an Independent Supporter to discuss applying for an Education, Health and Care Plan which will detail all your daughter's needs and how these can be addressed. You can find the Independent Supporter for the area you are moving to by using the link below

Good luck with the move!
