Moving to universal credit

Hi I'm currently on ESA contribution based , & received a letter saying I got to move to UC. Once iv applied for UC will I lose out on my payments? I do get extra money because of my disability ie severely disabled & disability income guarantee. Thanks

Please click the purple text "View post" and read through the thread, to understand what will happen after migrating to UC when on CB ESA.
If your UC award is lower than legacy benefits, Transitional Protection will be added to your claim, so at the time of transfer you aren't worse off than on legacy benefits.
TP does erode over time, as the annual rises increase the amount of UC payable, reduces if any new elements are added, or ends completely with a major change of circumstances such as swapping around between claiming as a single/couple.
