Ditching the 'L' plates

I'm going to spend some time looking through some of the discussions on here, but I just wanted to ask if I'm on the right track with my research. My friend is wanting to finally learn how to drive, but she's already anxious about how that will be navigated as a person living with a disability. I'm her biggest cheerleader here, I know she can do it (but I also want her to do things at her own pace). These are what I've been reading so far, but any recommendations would be great.

If your friend is eligible for the Motability scheme, they can provide a certain amount of free lessons in some circumstances.
