Question on criteria

Hello,

I'm aware that "reliably" means:

S - Safely

T - Timely

A - Acceptable

R - Reasonable

If you have any of the points that you fit into on a category, if you can't do a task based on only one of these above, is that how you earn the points?

Thanks.

Hey @Rumbler303 basically right. It's if you can do something 51% of the time.

    For example;
If I can walk 50 meters - No points.
If I can walk 50 meters, but I keep falling - points awarded.
If I can walk 50 meters, but then cannot do it again for 4 days due to pain - points awarded.

    I hope that makes sense?

Makes sense, so it's basically if you fail any of the STAR individual bits and cannot do something for majority of the time (51% or more) then you'll qualify?

I'd not say you'll qualify, but in theory, you would qualify. The assessors often think otherwise, but those are the guidelines that they should be marking you by. It's all about what you cant do for the majority of the time.

In theory I would, but practically I might not? Is what you're essentially saying is that it's completely down to the assessor and your own individual circumstances?

It's down to the decision maker to decide, but if they deny you the points, then it'll usually be overturned in a tribunal.

I was awarded 0 points by assessors, twice. But once I went to the tribunal, I was awarded enhanced rate for both components without any extra evidence.

    That's interesting, thank you.

It's all down to DWP, never the health assessor.

I think I may have got the STAR acronym wrong, is it:

    S - Safely

    T - Timely

    A - Acceptable

R - Repeatedly (not Reasonable) - meaning you can do, for example, something in the morning, but not in the afternoon?

    Thanks.
