Hi, my name is poolelass75!

I've just joined today and I'm absolutely broken over what the government are planning to do. I had herniated discs after an accident at work but after years of physio, hydropool therapy and many injections failing to fix me I have been left with permanent severe nerve damage to the spine as the bulging disc had been pressing on my nerves for over 10 years. I had major back surgery done 10 years to late leaving me permanently disabled for the rest of my life and in severe amounts of pain 24/7. Medication makes me extremely drowsy so I'm writing this before I take my meds. I have to use an electric wheelchair on very rare days to leave my home. I havent been able to work since 2016 because of my injuries, pain and medication. I live by myself i can't afford a careworker or cleaner my house is a mess and this is before the cuts. I'm barely getting by and I don't have 4 points on any of the daily living questions i have 2s in total 8 points even tho I have to use aid all the time. I rarely cook myself if i do it microwave who heatable in the top oven sat on a rollator because I physically can't so I'm ordering food alot most of the time now a large portion to last me 2 or 3 days so I at least get one meal a day. I will be put into poverty now because of Labour and they said it would not effect the severely disabled and they are wrong its going to effect most severely disabled. Ive not slept properly since they started talking about benefits being cut. Im at breaking point now, I cant live like this, this will kill me. I need labour to listen this is serious and it's going to cost so many lifes. I feel like we are being targeted when pip is for those with serious conditions. Universal credit is what those receive out of work thats where they should be looking not at the pip. I would absolutely love to work but sadly that's not physically possible for me anymore and i did used to work before my accident. How am I going to survive on my own without money to buy food, pay bills pay for mobilty equipment and transport etc? My cat has been the only thing keeping me going right now because if it wasnt for her I'd be dead by now as ive felt suicidal ever since this got announced. Thank you labour for your cruel actions on the disabled. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Sarah

Hi @poolelass75
It sounds like you're going through a lot and it is a very worrying and stressful time for disabled people so it's very understandable why you're feeling like this.
I'm going to pop you an email over in a bit and I hope it will be helpful so please keep an eye out for it.0
