How do you find out about the outcome of a PIP appeal?

I mean, suppose someone goes through a PIP appeal and wins, do they tell you there at the appeal or send you a letter? Is it the same as the usual letter where they say "I have decided to award you £xxx for the mobility" etc.

Hi,
Sometimes you get told on the day, but they always send a letter afterwards as well.
The tribunal sends a different type of letter to the DWP letters. But they do show which rates you will get and which dates.

Yes, I had one myself.
Though there is a higher chance of winning the appeal if you are able to attend in person, so I would always recommend doing that if you can.
