Struggling to know which way to turn

Hello,
I just wondered if anyone has any tips for how I can manage my health and life better. I’ve been left disabled following a sepsis infection which has affected various parts of my body. I also have a son who is disabled and a very supportive husband. However, my health condition means I have to spend many hours of the day in bed and I rarely go out. The isolation this brings is difficult, especially aS my sight and vision are affected - ie some days it’s not so bad, others i can hardly see or speak. This has led to a lot of friends and family falling away. We have had a family support worker for my son who has handed me information but I find it difficult to understand it or act on it due to my health needs. The gp have tried but they basically say they can’t make me better and that I need to accept it. I just to be very active but now I’m able to do very little. I just don’t know how to find a way through it.
Sorry for the rant, I’m having a particularly bad day today 🤯
take care all x

Hi @MrsEwoo I'm so sorry to hear about your circumstances. It sounds like you're managing a lot, very much by yourself but you need support too. 💛Have you thought about looking into a care assessment review if you've not already had this so they can look at support for you and your family, especially if your personal circumstances have changed.
Perhaps your family support worker could support you looking in to this, or a family member such as your husband? I've added a link below for some more information about this including how you can apply - Getting a care needs assessment - Social care and support guide - NHS
Best wishes,
