I must admit I do contemplate at times how he will be doing as he will be ten now, having a dog is like having a kid. They drive you mad at times, but you love all there quirks and daft moments. I’m 50/50 on what sort of breed I want to get, with me having a very long bathroom and bedroom, with a small kitchen and bathroom alongside an open hallway and stairs. I’m wanting a medium sized breed, to aid me with steadiness, alongside helping to break the cycle of me staying in the flat all the time. I would take he or she up to the lakes and scotland for a holiday. Just having a furry friend again would be amazing to say the least. One factor I’m taking into consideration is grooming, having a lot of fluffy hair and dander wouldn’t be good for my old bagpipes, thinking a short haired breed, who doesn’t bark a lot, is easy to train and would be maybe a working breed. I’m also thinking of adopting a little parrot as well for someone to talk to and plus I love them, they probably would be swearing by the end of the week πŸ˜‚

I must admit I’ve not thought of a cockapoo πŸ€” Taking them to a groomer for a short back and sides would be very interesting to say the least or a Labradoodle also be also be under consideration to. They may be a bit more laid back than the crazy cocker side of a Cockapoo.

I love Spanners, but they would be to much work for me. I used to be able to go hiking, sometimes over 20 miles in a day, plus walk at a fast pace. Then when I got long covid, I just take things at a slower pace with a walking stick in hand. Having a Spanner in the flat would be like having a caged tiger πŸ˜‚

I’ve turned my heating timer off, flat is just right at the moment. Sat relaxing on my bed just watching The Good Dr on Sky and maybe put a movie on later. Feeling more relaxed now than than before, just feeling proud that I’ve survived the last 18 months and against all odds and against what people thought of me including myself, I’m still going strong, maintaining my flat, keeping on top of bills and maintaining my tenancy and independence. Must admit my first ex wife was actually correct, You’d be better off on your own or with someone without kids, well so married someone without kids, that didn’t work and the being better on my own is working out πŸ˜‚ as for the swinging brick of a heart she said I had, it’s a heart shape piece of Scottish Granite with Millstone Grit inlayed into it, goes with the fighting spirit I have.

Its been a long boring day for me.

I went out to avoid having to endure the noise and disruption of having internal doors replaced.

The day dragged so much and I am tired now.

my ex wife gave it me 7 months before she dumped me, one and only time of having it. I just face it as another challenge along a council pot holed road I’ve been on since 1983.

Yeah they do but I'm not very happy with the finish work, he has left unfilled gaps but I will point it out to the supervisor when he comes to look at the work.
