I'm really sorry you're going through this @Grumpy1314, that all sounds really overwhelming but one step at a time is a good way to look at things. I hope all the divorce is brought to a conclusion quickly and painlessly once you've got it all in place. And fingers crossed they can help at the GP once the appointment comes round.
An assistance dog and a new pet sounds like a nice idea. Have you had a parrot before?

Hello to everyone, so hope your afternoon goes as well as can be. ๐
Cold my side 8C, and plenty of rain. At least it has stopped for now, fairly breezy and cloudy.

Hi all
I am so exhausted from lack of sleep, I had to come back to rest in my bed for a while.
I going out for a little stroll later.
The flipping fire alarm has just gone off here.
Probably another false alarm.

Good afternoon everyone. I haven't been on in a while. I got shingles again, on my forehead, eye and the top of my head, along with a water infection and one of the gastric bugs doing the rounds. Ive had the duty nurses coming out doing dressings on the bottom of my leg, it flared up again after tripping over my own feet, while trying to help my 13yr old dog get on the chair next to the window. Both him and the cat love people watching.
Im sorry to hear that some of you have been feeling down. Life gives us love then it gets taken away. I'm not the best where relationships are concerned. When after a 12yr gap I had my second son. I decided at this time that I no longer, wanted a relationship. Ive found abusive relationships in the past and they have used my mental health against me, even though they were the ones that had made me feel down enough to self harm. I didn't want to have my boys going through any of this. It's been 21yrs now and I don't regret my decision, even though alot of my friends thought it was on a whim.
Im in more control of my life now and I concentrate on my lads. I had my dog and cat, guinea pigs and a bird. I'm happy not having to worry about relationships.
@Grumpy1314 you are making positive decisions, I hope you start feeling better soon and you get your dog and parrot, it really helped me and my family. They don't judge, just give back the love you give them.

I feel so sad. I'm autistic with a progressive neurological condition. I live alone and have no more that about 6 hours of human contact per week. I suppose that gives me more time to ruminate. Anyway, yesterday afternoon I found two Easter cards through my door. They'd been hand delivered. One was from a very elderly person, the other from a woman who I thought of as a genuine friend. A person whose problems I have listened to. A person who has gobbled my biscuits and cake. But she didn't ring the doorbell to hand me the cards and say hello. They were just shoved through the letterbox. I feel so worthless.

Morning @Sandy_123 and anyone else I've missed ๐
Ouch @Elvisdog, sorry to hear you've had Shingles and have dealt with so many other issues recently. Hope you're on the mend and are feeling more comfortable now.
Sorry you're feeling so down about things @Zipz. I get what you mean about having time to ruminate. I've been through lots of periods of time where I've been at home with not much contact with the outside world and it's not easy to stay postive about things. You're not worthless at all and we're here if you need to vent about things. Perhaps the lady wasn't able to knock when she posted the card, or maybe there's another reason that she couldn't pop by. Hopefully she'll come and see you soon. Or if you feel up to it, maybe you could send her a message? I'd understand if you don't feel like doing that right now.
Hope you managed to get some rest last night @Grumpy1314
