ESA to JSA

The reason it says JSA is because as you said it will be a manual payment. It's impossible to move from Income Related ESA to Income Related JSA for two reasons, one being Income Related JSA no longer exists and the other is that no one automatically moves from one benefit to the other. If your PIP review decision was recently made then this may have caused the issue with your payment because the system would have detected there was a change so your ESA may have been suspended, or part of it. When they realised this they made the payment but not all of it.. which could be the Severe disability Premium, if your ESA includes this. They open at 8am tomorrow so you will need to ring them. They will make a same day payment for the money that's owed.1

Hey there @JEllen and a big welcome to the community from me.
I can see Poppy has already answered your question, but I just wanted to stop in and say hi. If you need any further assistance, please just ask. Or if you fancied a chat or some games, I highly recommend our Coffee Lounge category.0 -
hi I was going to ask the same question above my esa is now showing jsa and less than half I usually get, I have just started to migrate to uc and.i seem to have lost a lot of money. I am very worried as I won’t be able to afford to eat or pay bills. Do you have a phone number to ring up please on Monday . As no one is answering on the journal thing on jobcentre site . I have been in bed for 2 days worrying about it all it’s Thank you making me even more depressed.

It shows up as JSA when a manual payment is sent, rather than automatic.
ESA ends after UC is claimed, apart from one final payment known as the run on payment.
The payment you received is probably what they owe you after migrating to UC.
Your first UC payment is 5 weeks after applying, then monthly thereafter.
You can apply for an advance payment of UC via Journal, but this will need to be repaid by deductions to your UC award.
Citizens Advice have a Help to Claim service, they can support you before, during and after your claim.
