Hi @julesluk65 not a worry at all. They didn't ask to speak to anyone as far as I'm aware? It's never been brought up in conversation anyway. Though I paid my sisters rent money via bank transfer with a note saying "Da Rent" on, so it would always show as that on bank statements.

Hi, I had to supply all the info (ID and bank statements) for a UC review in October but they didn't complete it until November (something to do with the reviewer being sick). Went ok but was very anxious before [hone call and then because of the delay. Today I've just been notified I'm having another one (same info required etc) - is this common? It's causing more stress.

I had an interview on March 4th, then they asked me to send applications and documents, I sent everything on March 7th. I received a reply on March 31st, it said: "The member of staff dealing with your application is currently on annual leave, once they return I will ask them to contact you as soon as possible to discuss next steps if applicable." The member of staff who dealt with my application replied to me on April 1st and said that my application was still being processed. This all seems very strange to me😶

Currently going through one myself, both myself and my partner had to provide id , and 4 months worth of bank statements, i provided all the bank statements in pdf format as they asked, now today they want me to provide 4 months of bank statements as a paper copy and photograph each page and send it to them, pain in the backside had to go into the bank to request it, dont know why he couldnt just use the pdf shows exactly the same thing.

Do you need to photograph the paper statements and then send them in pdf or take them to the job centre

They want me to take photos of the paper statements and send to them through the journal, I'm waiting for the next task then, it's as if they are being awkward on purpose.

If that person that says not to hand over bank statement s,surely like looks like your trying to hide something when your not? Surely that would make them ask for more etc?

I live with my mother and pay her £500 a month through standing order, this is to cover food, bills etc, is this likely to be questioned? She does absolutely everything for me cooking, cleaning, washing and driving me everywhere. It is on my bank as rent but doesn't actually say that on the transactions statement, looks like it's only there as a reference for me. I've always lived with her and feel she is absolutely entitled to it, but will they?
I receive enhanced pip for both parts and in the esa support group and have never been anywhere near the £6k limit. I'm yet to receive my migration letter but this is really causing me sleepless nights. If they were to say I'm not allowed to do that every month I would end up homeless and then cost the government even more as they would have to house me.
So worried.

@Albus_Scope hi, you mean it is your mum that gets benefits? if so and then yes their will defo question it and probably treat it as an income for her. but if you are the one whom is claiming benefits then it would not be a problem i dont think their will prob ask what it is for though im on universal credit and i live with a friend, i pay them 250 a month for my room ect but buy my own food and also pay bits n bats towards other things. im under review at the moment and totally stressed as i sent bank statements 2 wks ago not heard ought as yet, but on my other bank the one i dont get my benefits paid into i have payments of £650 paid in for last few months but not anymore as it was for money i lent to my son a few yrs ago and last yr he was only just in a position to start paying me back, so i know that will defo be questioned and im terrified lol, i got another message in my journal asking for another photo of my passport but not anymore bank statements so im worrying whats going on, i was left some money in 2012 after my dad passed away and i wasnt on benefits at the time but because i suffer with bipolar and extreme anxiety i didnt go out much unless really had to, so when i got the cheque i put it into my bank account and told them i wanted to withdraw it all over 40k in one go and i kept it at home in a safe so lent him it in cash, but obviously once the cash was low ect i had to put in for u/credits bk in 2020 let me know
how you get on and i will do same :) try not to worry too much easier said than done i know but its hard to not stress

hi, not it's me that receives benefits. My mum owns this house and is a pensioner, she only gets state pension and her private pension, nothing means tested for her.
I'm just worried when they ask for 4 months statements from me when I migrate that they will question the standing order to her.

@Albus_Scope i would not stress too much about that, their probably will ask what it is for and just tell them the truth you will be fine :)

just wanted to point out I'm bella, not albus 😀

You won't be asked for four months of statements when you migrate.
After your claim is active, you may be selected randomly for a financial review.

@bellatango oops so sorry lol it said albus 🤣 hope all goes well for you :)

Oh I thought that everyone had to provide 4 months of statements when they migrate, which wouldn't be an issue as I'm well under the £6k limit. Was just concerned that they might say I'm not allowed to do that and then that would cause me a whole load of issues.
Sorry for the misunderstanding, I might sleep better tonight now! :)

Even if not receiving rent the property value is taken into account when calculating your capital for UC purposes.
The second property can only be disregarded if your son receives ESA Support Group or UC LCWRA.
